CK-MB FS is an enzyme-based photometric test for the determination of isoenzyme CK-MB in human serum and lithium heparin plasma. The dimeric subunit MB of the enzyme creatine kinase exists mainly in muscles. Elevated levels of CK-MB are a specific indicator of cardiac muscle damage, making it a valuable tool for diagnosing and monitoring myocardial infarctions.
